THE TEXAS CLUB OF INTERNISTS FOUNDATION

The TCI Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. The Foundation represents the goals of the internal medicine physician profession and seeks to foster knowledge and philanthropy that enhances quality health care in Texas.  It is through this mission that the TCIF is recognized as a high level partner and supporter to the Texas Society of Medicine (formerly the Texas Club of Internists) and its members.

The TCIF seeks to:

  • Increase revenue for the TCI so that the organization is able to continue the high caliber of educational meetings biannually;
  • Continue funding outstanding speakers and provide support to educational expenses at biannual meetings;
  • Through adequate funding in the TCIF, the Foundation seeks to explore offering educational scholarships for Internal Medicine students in Texas-based programs.

A Season of Gratitude. A Year of Growth. A Future We Build Together.

As we approach the close of 2025, the TCI Foundation celebrates another year of generosity, service, and shared commitment to advancing high-quality health care across Texas. Our mission has always been simple yet profound: to foster knowledge, support excellence in adult medicine, and strengthen the educational opportunities that keep our members at the forefront of clinical practice.

For more than fifteen years, the Foundation has provided tax-deductible contributions—including gifts from IRAs and legacy bequests—to help fund the exceptional CME programming our members enjoy at both the Spring and Fall Meetings. This support is the heart of what makes our gatherings so meaningful: learning together, connecting as colleagues, and advancing the practice of medicine across our state.

This year, your generosity made a remarkable impact. With your help, we aim to surpass your historical giving and move into 2026 with renewed strength as we continue our support under a new name: the TSM Foundation.

Now is the time to give.

End-of-year contributions ensure that we can continue elevating the educational, cultural, and collegial experiences that define the TSM community. Your gift strengthens every program we offer—and every physician we support.

To avoid processing fees, contributions may be mailed to:

Thank you for your support.

Every donation—large or small—moves us closer to our goals and fuels the mission we all share. We invite you to check back throughout the season to watch our Gratitude Grow as we recognize our generous donors.

Together, let’s close 2025 with momentum and step boldly into a new year of purpose, learning, and connection.

WAYS YOU CAN GIVE TO THE TCIF

  • GENERAL GIVING

Donations to the TCIF can be given at any time during the year and are greatly appreciated. TCI Members will find an option to donate to the TCIF on their annual renewal forms once a year and remain a valuable resource to the TCIF. Donations can be made at the online link below or via check and mailed to: TCIF, PO Box 170897, Austin, TX 78717

  • ENDOWED LECTURESHIP

Endowed lecture funds generate spendable income to support lectures for TCI. Endowed lectures are oftentimes in honor of an individual and are typically annual, however some are more or less frequent. Please contact us if you have an endowed lecture in mind that you would like to see at one of our meetings.

  • HONOR A COLLEAGUE

If you know of a colleague, member or friend that you would like to honor with a donation to the Foundation, we would love to be your choice for this special recognition. For example, has someone you know recently won an award? We can ask friends and colleagues in TCI to donate in honor of this physician’s outstanding achievement and share the excitement!

  • TCI MEMBER MEMORIAL AND REMEMBRANCE

If you would like to honor a TCI Member who has passed away by making a contribution to the TCI Foundation in lieu of flowers or other donations, please let us know and well inform the family of your generous gift. Memorial donations are recognized on our Remembrance page on the TCI website.

  • LOVING TRUST

The TCI has been an integral part of internal medicine physicians and their families since 1924. The club is not only a professional meeting organization with exceptional CME programs, but it is also a group of lifelong friends that make memories travelling together each year to amazing locations. In the past, several members have left a portion of their estate to the TCI to give back to colleagues and friends in the club after they’ve passed. If you’ve enjoyed being a member of TCI and have lifelong memories with your spouse and friends, please don’t hesitate to talk with family members and include the TCI Foundation in your will.

If you have additional questions about making a contribution to the TCIF,  please email us at [email protected] so that we can offer our assistance and express our gratitude.
