MEMBERSHIP LEVELS AND ANNUAL DUES

The TSM shall be composed of Active, Emeritus, and Inactive members.

Membership is not restricted because of race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, or ethnic origin.

A candidate for active membership must be a graduate of at least seven (7) years standing of a duly qualified medical school. The candidate shall be trained in adult or internal medicine.

The candidacy of new members may originate in the district in which the proposed candidates reside or from other districts. Nominations will be considered at both the Spring and Fall Meetings. The chair’s proposal for the nominee shall set forth the date and medical school from which the candidates graduated, the educational qualifications, hospital connections, contributions to medical literature, years of practice, and other pertinent information. An application for consideration is available on the TSM website. A vote of the Membership shall be taken during the Business Meeting at the Spring/Fall Meeting.

Annual Membership Dues are assessed based on the calendar year and due on January 1 of each year. (New members who are approved mid-year will be invoiced for a 6-month period.)
