Welcome to the Texas Society of Medicine (TSM)—a professional home for physicians dedicated to advancing excellence in adult medicine while fostering lasting fellowship among colleagues.

Founded in 1924 as the Texas Club of Internists, our organization has grown from a pioneering group of internists into a society that reflects the breadth and depth of modern adult medicine. For more than 100 years, TSM has united outstanding physicians from across Texas, creating a community where professional achievement and meaningful connection go hand in hand.

Dear Colleagues,

The Texas Society of Medicine, building on more than 100 years of tradition, is looking ahead with a bold and inclusive vision for the future of medicine. Our recent name change reflects our growth—welcoming physicians across specialties and embracing the energy of younger generations.

This fall, Denise and I are honored to host our annual conference at the Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City, October 6–11, 2025. The program blends world-class CME with unforgettable cultural experiences in one of the world’s great cities.

We invite you to:

The Texas Society of Medicine (TSM) brings together physicians from across adult medicine specialties—including internal medicine, pulmonary, cardiology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, and more. Prospective members may self-nominate through our online application form. All applications are reviewed and voted upon by the Society, a process that ensures membership remains rooted in both excellence and fellowship.
